Following his sold out EP, ‘The Bear’ and debut album ‘The Struck World’ in 2010, Jamie Harrison will be releasing his second album ‘Get Under The Carpet’ at the end of 2011. Hailing from Bristol, Jamie makes music like no other, fusing jazz, ragtime and traditional English folk into faultless guitar playing and sad, comic lyrics. The folk singer and songwriter spent the end of 2010 touring the UK and Europe with well-known Manchester-based musician Liz Green, gaining plenty of praise along the way, with 6 Music support from the likes of Jarvis Cocker and Stuart Maconie. This blues mixed-bag is a series of live sessions recorded within one week with a band of gifted but aimless man-children. Expect to hear an eclectic concoction of garage jazz, electric guitars, clunky accordions and chanting choruses. Released as a limited edition, wax sealed, hand made CD
