Gentle Isolation, The - It Started With An April Shower (Dufflecoat)

For any self respecting indiepop artists, the chance to play with the Swedish giants of the genre, Club 8, must be something of a dream.  Bur for Filipino band The Gentle Isolation it's a dream that came true in May 2010 in Manilla.  Now their infectious melodies may soon be everyone's soundtrack to long and lazy drives.  The Belle and Sebastian and Camera Obscura influences are their for all to hear (which is no bad thing!).  Refined, sweet, mellow and glorious indie pop. There is so much to love here, the vocals ring so sweet and clear, the music is full life and joy with plenty of delicious little flourishes like the "wah wah" guitars on "Faraway".
